Planning your Winter Wedding
It is the season of fantasies; a white wonderland of beautiful elegant weddings. There is no better time than the season of giving for a beautiful and elegant wedding. We’ve put together some tips for planning your winter wedding, to start preparing for next season!
Colors! During a white wedding, you can never go wrong with a deep red and forest green color scheme to celebrate the season. But, if you prefer a more classic theme, white and black is elegant and will really make your wedding feel like a winter ball. Want a splash of color? Using gold or silver in your decorations can really bring out a royal feel!
Candles are in! Using candles to make your wedding feel more cozy has become a big trend this year. They give your wedding a more elegant feel with a touch of a homey feel. Candles can also give your wedding more of a Victorian-era ball feeling too! Our venue was built in 1858, and still has the original woodwork and ornate fixtures that would be beautifully illuminated by candles.
What is the most important part of a wedding? The bride's dress of course! During the winter we have seen some of the most beautiful big dresses on the market today! Long sleeve dresses are the go-to during the holiday season, not only to keep the beautiful bride warm but also because they are stunning and timeless. This year we have even been seeing a lot of capes to go along with the beautiful big dress and it looks fabulous! Capes add a beautiful, whimsical, and mysterious touch to a classic wedding dress. Adding some bold makeup with a dark red lip is just the trend we wanted to see this year! When wearing that classic white gown, it is a beautiful touch to add a deep makeup look to really pull the winter theme together!
